Here We Go...

This is my first blog! I have been keeping a journal about all the fun times in my family...yeah, it's called Facebook. I have realized that I have been posting cute things the boys have done or said on Facebook, which is great...but unfortunately FB is not formatted so that I can go back and look at things later on. At least, not unless I want to hit the "See More Posts" button a million times!!!

Hopefully I can keep up this blog!

Now...a little background on me!
My husband, Donnie, and I were married April 16, 2000 (eleven years and counting!!) We knew we wanted children right away, but unfortunately it took awhile. A year after we were married, I was diagnosed with PCOS and started Clomid. The second round of Clomid worked, and our precious Gary Donald arrived on May 8, 2002!



Gary has been such a blessing and so much fun! He has presented us with many parenting challenges along the way (doesn't every kiddo?). He was diagnosed with autism when he was 4. Gary has always continued to improve and progress in both behavior and academics, but he is usually behind his peers. We love him and just try to do what we can to support him. He is now 9 years old and doing great!

Anyway, when Gary was about 4, we decided that another child would be welcomed. I'll blog about that journey some other time...but it wasn't until 4 years later---January 24, 2011 that Samuel Aaron arrived!

Sammy is now 5 1/2 months old and we ALL adore him! He is such a little sunshine!!
